Privacy policy

Team Mahal is a team of three professionals in Ottawa: a realtor (Right At Home Realty, Brokerage), a mortgage agent (Mortgage Alliance) and a lawyer (Mahal Law Professional Corporation). Each provides their services through their own firm and is responsible for the personal information they hold for their own clients. This policy covers this website and the requests you send through it.

When you use the "Request a call" form we collect:

• your name;
• your phone number and/or email address;
• what you need help with (buying, selling, mortgage, legal or something else);
• any message you choose to write.

Please do not put sensitive details, such as banking or identification numbers, in the form. We will ask for what we need once we speak.

If you email or phone us directly, we keep the details you give us in the same way.

We use your details to respond to your request, to understand what you need, and to arrange a call or meeting. Because the realtor, mortgage agent and lawyer work together on one timeline, your request may be shared among the three of us so the right person can reply. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

If you give us an email address, we send you one automatic message confirming your request reached us. It is a receipt, not marketing, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.

We will only send you marketing messages if you agree to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Form requests are stored in a private Microsoft 365 (SharePoint) list that only the team can open, and the emails about them are sent through the same Microsoft 365 account. This website is hosted by Render. Your information may be processed on servers outside Canada by these providers, which are bound by their own security commitments. We keep your information only as long as we need it to serve you or to meet legal and professional record-keeping rules, then delete it.

This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add them, we will update this page first. Some pages show Google reviews, which are loaded by our servers, so your browser does not contact Google for them.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to us contacting you. Some records must be kept for a period by law or by our professional regulators. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
